I picked up a punch on sale the other day that makes these nifty film strips. I played around with one of them and inked it up until it looked like it had been stored in someone’s attic for years. That’s all I’ve done so far.

Right now I’m in the middle of making about a half-dozen sympathy cards. They’re the most difficult type of card I make, but they’re also some of the most appreciated.

Giant wooden buttons?! Yes, please!

I picked up some unfinished giant wooden buttons from Michael’s (they’re about 2-1/2” across), and challenged myself to finish each one a different way.

The first one is made from sparkly candy-printed card stock (no, they’re not pills), the second is made using a variety of embossing powders, the third is made by layering Washi tape (the blue side is shown unfinished, I forgot to take a photo of it when I was done), and the last one was created using fabric from an old upholstery book.

The pink and green bows are made of vintage seam binding we found at a thrift shop. I love that old stuff. This was such a fun project! More details on my blog: More details on my blog.
